Clearwater

Danny's Food and Spirits
2330 Curlew Ave.
(727)-785-5126
These wings are Buffalo style, meaty, and they will make you break a sweat. They come with good bleu cheese and several imports. Bill starts out saying that they didn't live up to the hype. Most things don't. Then he says some good things about them. He describes the bar as a dark cavernous place with evil looking front doors. Bill says, "The beer selection was good. The wings were big and meaty, probably the freshest wings I've ever had. They melt off the bone." He then states that the sauce could have been spicier, but it was worth a return trip. Evil in Clearwater?

Five drummettes! You know what that means. Everything I like. Bill says,"This place was a major surprise. You would never expect a british pub to have wings let alone damn good wings. These are definitely the largest wings I've ever seen. The sauce was hot, but not insane and had a good taste to it. $0.25 wings on Sundays is a can't miss deal." I can't wait until I'm in the neighborhood.

Medium sized Buffalo wings that will burn your lips. Great bleu cheese and several imported beers. Ed says, "The wings come in a pretty good range of spiciness, for the weak hearted or the kamikaze pepper lovers like myself ! If you want the hottest, order the superhot, but beware ! THEY ARE HOT ! Their Hot wings are a happy compromise. Great flavor with a good amount of heat! Comparable to Hooter's Three Mile Island. WingDing on Tues and Thurs. All you can eat wings, great deal if you can eat 20 or more wings ! I could go on and on about the atmosphere and service in the place! Best wings on the Gulf Coast!"

Gainesville

Farah's Catering
1120 W University Ave.
(352)-378-5179
These spicy, meaty, Buffalo style wings are enjoyed with great bleu cheese and several imported beers. Bill says,"Truly, one of a kind wings. I recommend the medium flavor. They sell wings by the pound as well as a bunch of Mediterranean stuff I can't pronounce. I really have no idea what they have in these wings. They have an unbelievible good flavor, with a little heat. It almost like a teriyaki flavor but without the sweetness. If you're ever at the University of Florida & you love wings, then you must go to Farahs. Try the 'shrooms too they are very good." You can't beat those college towns for international cuisine.

Medium sized Buffalo wings that burn the lips. Good bleu cheese and several imports. John says,"They know their wings at this place! Great selection of sauces, from mild to the hottest -- Caribbean Hell-fire. Haven't had the Hell-fire yet, but the extra hot was tongue-burning, so you can imagine ... Very good curly French fries. Get the mac & cheese if you need a balance for the mighty hot wings. Decent beer selection. Go Thursdays -- all-you-can eat wings for $8.50. Overall, it's well worth the trip!"

Jacksonville

Dicks Wings
5872 San Juan Ave
(904)-693-9258
These medium sized buffalo wings are spicy. They have good bleu cheese and some domestic beers to choose from. Bill says,"Dick's has many different varieties(20 to be exact). Dick's is mainly a Take out place. Their wings are delightful and are served either fashion, (Breaded or Traditional). These are a requirement when the Jaguars are playing. Go Jags" Okay. Let's hear it for 20 varieties and the Dolphins. Hey, it's my page. If you can plug your team, I can sure plug mine.

Wings are very good. Not as hot as the hottest BW3s sauce but hot enough. Will make you sweat. They are a little chincy with the Blue Cheese dressing."

Christy's Wings & Things
5907 Merrill Rd (near Jacksonville University)
904-744-0329
My opinion: best wings in Jacksonville. Christy's is a no frills, simple little hole in the wall with fantastic wings. Me and the fellas can be seen there about one every 2 weeks for the AYCE $9 special (wings, fries, drink). The wings are huge, fresh, naked or (very lightly) breaded, really good. We always eat too much there. One BIG downside is that there is no beer to be had; still makes an awesome lunch. My pick: lightly breaded (just enough to help hold the sauce) cajun ranch.

Hooters
8938 San Jose Blvd.
(904)-636-9800
There are four Hooter's locations in Jacksonville. They serve them lightly breaded with break a sweat kind of sauce. They have medium sized wings and a great bleu cheese. Chased with a selection of beer that includes several imports. And we know what else Hooters has. Scenery. Enjoy.

Pinellas Park

Ker's Wing House
7790 US Hiway 19 N.
(727)-547-9464
These medium sized wings are lightly breaded and will make you sweat. They have a fair bleu cheese and domestic beers. Bill says," This place is always crowded ( all 3 locations). Its owned by Crawford Ker a former offensive lineman for the Florida Gators & the Super Bowl winning evil empire (Dallas Cowboys) and features some beautiful waitresses with big, meaty.. well I better stop there. They have 3-4 different kinds of wings. I have only tried 2. The texas style was very sweet, almost a honey bbq wing, not very impressive at all. More impressive were their "naked wings". These are skinless wings. I believe they are cooked in a lowfat oil as well. They are glazed with some kind of mesquite smoke sauce and are not a typical wing. They lack heat but are still very tasty." Those naked wings sound healthy. So do the waitresses. You'd better be nice to them. I bet Crawford Ker is a big boy.

Pompano Beach

Piranha Pat's
2500 E Atlantic Blvd
(954)-943-3762

Punta Gorda

(941)-505-0344
These meaty, lightly breaded chicken wings are spicy. Good bleu cheese and several imported beers. Dusty and Rich say, "You can choose from four differant flavors, & three degrees of hotness."

Sunrise

Mt. Saint Helens is the name of their hot sauce. You'll break a sweat. Real good flavor. Their wings are lightly breaded, big, and meaty. Very good bleu cheese. Six different import beers on tap. I've had their wings before. Where's my plane ticket? Christina says that they're good about supplying the napkins that you will definitely need.

Tampa

Press Box Sports Emporium
222 S Dale Mabry Hwy.
(813)-876-3528
They have a tasty, burn your lips sauce for these meaty, Buffalo style wings. They have good bleu cheese and domestic beers. Bill says,"These wings are big meaty, juicy & damn good. I have tried their hot flavor which has great flavor & a good amount of heat. I have tried their Cruel flavor which borders on a religious experience. Extremely hot depending on who's in the kitchen. They also have 2 kinds of bbq wings & Salsa wings which I havn't tried because the cruel wings are so damn good. I haven't been brave enough to try their hottest flavor, atomic. They have a great lunch deal, 10 wings & fries for $5, Its quickly becoming my favorite place for wings." High praise. Bill has sent in many reviews from Florida. He knows his wings.

Wingin' It

Meaty,Buffalo style wings with sauce that has a good flavor that burns the lips and great bleu cheese? There's got to be a catch. What, no beer? Tell you what, you bring the wings I'll bring the beer.

12754 Kingfish Dr.
(727)-367-8951
Burn your lips with tasty sauce and meaty, Buffalo style wings. No batter. Good bleu cheese and several domestic beers. Bill says' "These are the Best Wings in the St. Petersburg area. They are hot yet sweet, but not overly sweet and have a unique flavor I haven't experienced elsewhere. They are large but not the the largest I've ever seen. All the food there is good. You won't be disappointed. They claim to be the longest waterfront bar in the world. I don't know about that but the place is awesome. A note to Seminole fans, this bar is decorated in University of Florida paraphernalia." Go Bill. Find those wings.
