Allentown

O'Malley's J P Pub
1528 W Union St
(610)-821-5556
These meaty, lightly breaded wings will burn your lips. They have good bleu cheese and lots of imports. Brian says,"O'Malley's, in Allentown, PA, is the sister restaurant of the bar I grew up in during my college days: J.P. McGillicuddy's in neighboring Bethlehem. Recently, due to legal troubles, McGillicuddy's was forced to shut down, leaving O'Malley's as the lone representative of their fine wings. O'Malley's wings are big, and are generally hotter that 'Cuddys. I think I'm pretty reasonable when it comes to hot stuff, and after a plate full of medium, I was definitely feeling it. But the wings are very meaty, and can be a whole meal. The sauce is excellent, though sometimes they rely a bit too much on pepper for heat. As far as beer, O'Malley's has less of a selection than Cuddy's (which claimed to have 75 beers on tap), and the beers are mostly bottled, also unlike Cuddy's. If you're in the Lehigh Valley, O'Malley's is worth looking for. It's on Union St. - not the more heavily-traveled Union Boulevard. It's just off of 15th St., not real far from Hamilton St. or the YMCA."

Westwood says,"Decent sized, sauces from mild to killer, including Gold (honey mustard)kinda tart and spicy. Wings so good at least an hour wait for them." Another beer, please.

Ken says, "This place is awesome! They serve all the sauces." Beware! This place carries Insanity sauce. Try a little on one wing. Then after a couple of beers try something a little more sane. Kick up the endorphins, but savor the flavor! Sounds like my kind of place.
